I'm a lifelong musician, pianist, composer, music educator, choral conductor, worship leader and avid outdoors person.
The landscapes of Northern California are my photographic subjects with their wide-ranging emotive palettes: towering, awe-inspiring mountain peaks; intimate, soft-spoken high-country lakes; brilliantly toned wildflower species; cascading, ebullient streams and rivers. As a digital photographic artist, my work is available online through various stock photo sites.
As winner of the Artist's Showcase Competition in Redding, California, I appeared three times with the Shasta Symphony Orchestra and performed the Macdowell Second, Rachmaninoff Second, and Saint Saens Fifth piano concertos. I also performed solo concerts at California State University, Chico; Shasta College, Redding; College of the Siskiyous, Weed; and the Crocker Art Museum Gallery in Sacramento. My performances were featured three times on the local PBS affiliate.
I've also directed church music in Northern California for many years, leading numerous choirs and worship teams. As Music Director at Aldersgate Church, I direct the Praise Team and Chancel Choir.
I hold a Master's Degree in music from California State University, Chico and perform regularly as an accompanist at CSU, Chico and area churches. I have taught individual private piano, and presently teach class piano and music fundamentals courses at CSU, Chico, as well as class piano courses at Butte Community College.
My love of the outdoors is reflected in my hobbies: windsurfing, mountain biking and wilderness hiking.
